Given the highly specialized nature of the subspecialty in inflammatory bowel disease,there is an urgent need for standardized training for subspecialist physicians.This article intends to explore the training model for subspecialists in inflammatory bowel disease.To elevate the clinical and research capabilities of subspecialists in gastroenterology focusing on inflammatory bowel disease,the emphasis should be on cultivating a comprehensive understanding of common clinical diagnostic and treatment approaches for inflammatory bowel disease,differentiating challenging and rare intestinal disorders,enhancing endoscopic skills,and strengthening research-oriented thinking.Through systematic and professional training,subspecialist physicians can proficiently grasp the foundational and clinical knowledge of various intestinal diseases,enhance multidisciplinary communication and collaboration skills,and improve research capabilities.This approach will ultimately contribute to providing patients with higher quality diagnostic and therapeutic services.
