摘要
探讨《中国英语能力等级量表》中学以致用和以学习者为中心两大教学理念对大学英语教学的启示。对《量表》作简单介绍,以《量表》的构建原则为切入点,以各级描述语为具体事实支撑,通过分析、提炼学以致用和以学习者为中心两大教学理念,凸显在大学英语教学中加强专门用途英语教学的必要性,尝试性地提出在大学英语专门用途英语教学中运用多模态化教学模式的可行性与适切性。在社会需求和高等教育国际化大背景下,《量表》构建理念充分彰显了大学英语中加强专门用途英语教学的目标宗旨,多模态化教学模式的多样性、形象性等特征和专门用途英语教学具有良好的适切性。
This paper attempts to explore the implications of the two teaching concepts of Learning-for-use and learnercentered in the China’s Standards of English Language Ability(CSE)for college English teaching.Firstly,the paper makes a brief introduction to CSE;then,it analyses and refines the two teaching concepts of Learning-for-use and learner-centered in the CSE in terms of the CSE’s principles and the descriptors o f all levels,which highlights the necessity of English for Specifi c Purpose(ESP)teaching;fi nally,the feasibility and suitability of applying multimodal teaching mode to ESP teaching are put forward.In the context of social needs and the internationalization of higher education,the CSE’s principles fully demonstrate the purpose of strengthening ESP teaching in college English.The multimodal tea-ching mode,featuring variety and vividness,has well matched with ESP teaching.
