陶行知这位伟大的人民教育家 ,近代中国新型学人群体的杰出人物 ,青少年时代曾长期地接受着教会学校教育的熏陶 ,且一度“成为一个基督徒”。在探讨教会学校及教育产品究竟在近代中国社会转型过程中产生什么样的社会效应 ,以及教会教育的“中华归主”的目标实现的程度如何 。

Tao Xingzhi,the great educator of the people,is an oustanding figure among the new type of scholars in China in modern times.In his youth he had been cultivated by parochial education,and once became a 'Christian″.He is a typical representative who should be paid much attention to when we discuss the social effect produced by the talents nurtured by parochial education in the transition of China's society and to what extent the parochial education in China had attained its gaol:'Chins's return to God.″
