灵芝在中国与西方世界都有着独特的地位,其根植于中国传统文化之中,在全球也享有盛誉。在古代诗歌作品中,灵芝具有厚重的文化底蕴,大量的文人墨客为其增添多姿多彩的的文化意象。同时,随着众多咏芝诗歌的英译,西方人士也逐步了解到独特的中国灵芝文化。灵芝不仅是一种菌类植物,也被看作仙草圣物,以及天人交感下的祥瑞之物、孝德文化与道家隐逸情怀的体现。灵芝诗歌文本的英译中,国外译者更侧重归化,多采用意译,一定程度上呈现出基督教化;国内译者音译与意译兼用,更体现出注重话题链的叙事性的特征,但部分灵芝意象话题链呈现出模糊与泛化特征。

Lingzhi has a unique position in both China and Western world.It is rooted in Chinese traditional culture and boasts a worldwide reputation.In ancient poetry,Lingzhi has rich cultural heritage with a large number of cultural images depicted by many Chinese poets.At the same time,English translations of Chinese ancient poems has been introduced to overseas countries,facilitating foreigners to know more about the unique Chinese Lingzhi culture.Lingzhi is not only a kind of fungi,but also a sacred herb,as well as the auspicious plant,the filial culture and the embodiment of the Taoist retreat.In the C-E translation of Lingzhi poetry,foreign translators tend to emphasize domestication and adopt free translation,and Christianity is presented to some extent.Domestic translators use both free translation and transliteration,which highlights the narrative feature of topic chains,but the topic chains of some Lingzhi images show fuzzy as well.
