摘要
翻译家尤金·奈达提出的“功能对等”理论的核心是实现译文与源语信息最贴近而又自然的对等。右玉精神的外宣翻译实现对等,既要考虑不同文化背景、语言表达习惯以及外宣交际功能的影响,也要关照目的语受众群体的阅读反应,这对翻译技巧的选择提出了更高的要求。右玉精神的外宣翻译技巧的选择关系着翻译实践的质量和效果,也会影响到目的语受众群体对右玉精神文本内容的理解、中国精神乃至中国形象的解读。因此,翻译技巧的选择既要满足最大程度地还原右玉精神的实质内涵,同时肩负着塑造、建构、传播中国形象的重要纽带作用。
The core of the theory of“Functional Equivalence”proposed by the translator Eugene Nida is to achieve the closest and natural equivalence between the translation and the source information.To achieve equivalence in the translation of Youyu Spirit in external publicity,we should not only consider the influence of different cultural backgrounds,language expression habits and communication functions in external publicity,but also take into account the reading responses of target language audiences,which puts forward higher requirements for the selection of translation skills.The choice of Youyu spirit’s external publicity translation skills is related to the quality and effect of translation practice,and also affects the audience’s understanding of Youyu Spirit’s text content,Chinese spirit and even Chinese image.Therefore,the choice of translation skills should not only satisfy the essence of the spirit of Youyu,but also shoulder the important role of shaping,constructing and spreading the image of China.
