乡贤文化的价值和作用取决于乡贤文化主体禀赋。古代乡贤文化主体主要来源于去职还乡者、名落孙山者、本土豪族者,他们在创办乡村教育、启蒙开化、发展乡村经济、协调乡村纠纷、维护乡村秩序、促进乡村稳定等方面发挥着重要作用。中国现代乡村活跃着乡村的经济能人、退伍和退役军人、返乡高校毕业生等群体,他们在脱贫攻坚和乡村振兴中发挥了巨大的作用,是乡贤文化主体的“升级版”。知古鉴今,为促进乡村振兴发展,应该采用人才返乡、资本下乡、告老还乡等路径,充分利用不同人群的禀赋,使之赋能乡村振兴,既能促进乡村的发展,又能使之转型为现代乡贤,从而更好地造福桑梓。

The value and role of local culture depend on the main endowment of local culture.The main cultural subjects of ancient rural elites mainly came from those who returned to their hometowns after leaving their jobs,those who lost their descendants,and local aristocrats.They played an important role in establishing rural education,enlightening and developing rural economy,coordinating rural disputes,maintaining rural order,and promoting rural stability.In modern rural China,there are active groups of rural economic elites,veterans,and college graduates who have returned to their hometowns.They have played a huge role in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization,and are an upgraded version of the cultural subject of rural elites.To promote rural revitalization and development,we should adopt paths such as talent returning to the countryside,capital going to the countryside,and returning to the countryside after retirement.We should fully utilize the endowments of different groups of people to empower rural revitalization,which can not only promote rural development but also transform them into modern rural elites,thus better benefiting the countryside.
