清以降,武夷山脉虎患频发,危害性极大,涉及范围广。从时间上看,清初、晚清时期武夷山区的虎患发生频次较高;从地域上看,武夷山东侧虎患较西侧更甚,尤以建宁县、南平县、长汀县等县受灾严重。究其原因,除了受到气候变化、自然灾害频发的影响之外,还与经济结构的变化有很大关系。近代厦门、福州开埠通商,闽赣等省木业、纸业快速发展,加剧了对山林的破坏,虎患发生频次增加。人虎关系折射出当地笃信虎神的地域文化,以及虎信仰背后独特的“孝”文化。

Since the Qing Dynasty,the pulse tigers in Wuyi Mountain have been attacked frequently,causing great harm and covering a wide range.In terms of time,the frequency of tiger infestation in Wuyi Mountains was higher in the early and late Qing Dynasty;Regionally,the tiger infestation in the east of Wuyi is more serious,especially in Jianning County,Nanping County and Changting County.The frequent occurrence of tiger infestation was not only affected by climate change and frequent natural disasters,but also affected by changes in economic structure.In modern times,Xiamen and Fuzhou opened ports for trade.Fujian and Jiangxi provinces saw rapid development of wood and paper industries,which aggravated the destruction of mountains and forests,and increased the frequency of tiger infestation.The relationship between men and tigers reflect the unique regional culture of the local people who believe in the tiger god and the unique"filial piety"culture behind it.
