This paper comprehensively discusses the importance and development strategy of power system safety automatic control and relay protection.Firstly,the basic concept and function of power system safety automatic control technology are introduced,and its key role in maintaining the safe and stable operation of power grid is emphasized.Secondly,the basic requirements of safety automatic control and relay protection are elaborated in detail,including rapidity,reliability and sensitivity,so as to ensure that the system can respond quickly and effectively in the face of power grid faults.Finally,the strategies to improve the relay protection of power system are put forward,including strengthening technical research and innovation,improving the quality of operation and maintenance personnel,optimizing protection configuration and strategies,and strengthening coordination with other systems to improve the performance and reliability of the whole power system.
