College counselor is a noble profession dedicated to moral and talent education and are the backbone of ideological and political education for college students.The professional competence of college counselor is directly related to the training quality of college talents.Facing new situations of the new era,this study examines the contemporary implications and characteristics of college counselors’professional competency and explores strategies for enhancing their professional competency,which are conducive to further strengthening the construction of college counselors’team in the new era,comprehensively improving their qualities and abilities,and promoting their professionalization,specialization and expert development.
