In high-altitude areas, the performance of internal combustion engines is affected by thin air and extreme weather conditions, with combustion efficiency and emissions issues becoming more prominent. In recent years, with the strict requirements of emission regulations and the impact of diesel power performance, the Miller cycle has gradually attracted widespread attention from industry and academia. The article delves into the practical effects of using Miller cycle on diesel engines in high-altitude environments.By comparing the operating data of diesel engines in high-altitude areas(3000-5000 m)and low altitude areas(0-2000 m),it can be seen that Miller cycle can effectively improve the fuel economy of diesel engines in high-altitude areas, while significantly reducing the generation of harmful emissions such as NO_(x),which is of great significance for the sustainable development of high-altitude areas.
