The spatial attribute of sound constitutes an important topic in contemporary philosophy of perception.Based on Strawson's traditional non-spatial interpretation and O'Callaghan's sonorous realism,it has become the core issue of cur-rent debates.O'Callaghan and others shift the analytical perspective of philosophical perception from the properties of sound waves to the dimension of sound sources,thereby exploring the spatial attributes of sound as a secondary properly from the conceptual level of“events”as auditory objects.This line becomes the basic inherent logic behind disputes regarding the spa-tial dimensions of sonorous reality,and also provides an important theoretical context for fur ther interpreting contemporary philosophy's underst anding of sound attributes.
