On Feb.23,Tan Kefei,spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense,said at a regular press conference that the Chinese military will continue to promote learning from Lei Feng so that the Lei Feng spirit can be carried forward.Lei Feng was a great communist soldier trained and tempered in the melting pot of the people's military,Tan said.Over the past six decades,inspired by inscriptions and directives of leading comrades of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC),including Mao Zedong,Deng Xiaoping,Jiang Zemin,Hu Jintao,and Xi Jinping,service members have taken up the Lei Feng spirit as an important political responsibility。
