With the advancement of television news program production technology,multi-camera editing has become a key means to enhance program quality and efficiency.Precision Time Protocol(PTP)contributes to achieving audio-video synchronization in multicamera editing for television news.This paper introduces the basic principles and advantages of PTP,analyzes the special requirements of audio-video synchronization in multi-camera editing for television news,and highlights the limitations of traditional synchronization techniques.Based on this analysis,the paper elaborates on the application of PTP-based audio-video synchronization technology in multi-camera editing,covering aspects such as system architecture design,master clock selection and synchronization,delay measurement and compensation.
