With the sustained development and wide application of digital technology,it has become an inevitable trend for railway companies at home and abroad to build a digital railway system to support railway transport.Focusing on the international developments of digital railway for the past 6 years,the paper reviews and analyzes the emblematic digital cases in communication&signaling,inspection&monitoring,maintenance&repair,transport organization,rolling stocks as well as other domains.The analysis of the digital concept and its implementation helps inspire the development of digital railway service in China,including how digital technologies are imported and how existing technologies can be improved.The paper aims to promote the digital development of China's railways,and further improve transport efficiency and safety,so as to achieve the sustainable development targets in China’s railways.
