Objective To explore the impact of refined nursing based on rapid rehabilitation theory on the quality of life and negative emotions of gastric cancer patients after proximal gastrectomy. Methods A total of 90 gastric cancer patients who underwent proximal gastrectomy at the Quanzhou First Hospital,Fujian Province from February 2022 to February 2023 were selected. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 45 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received a refined nursing plan based on the theory of rapid rehabilitation. The nursing effects of the two groups were compared. Results The observation group had significantly shorter recovery time for bowel sounds, first anal exhaust time, ambulation time, feeding time, and hospital stay than the control group(P<0.05).The quality of life score of the observation group after nursing was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The anxiety and depression scale scores of the observation group after nursing were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The refined nursing based on the theory of rapid rehabilitation can effectively accelerate the postoperative recovery of gastric cancer patients undergoing proximal gastrectomy, improve their quality of life, alleviate their negative emotions, and is worthy of clinical promotion and use.
