摘要
在动态机械装置《一》的构思与创作过程中,我经历了艺术工作者、教师、团队负责人的角色交叠;经历了作品走出课堂进入美术馆,再从美术馆进入公共空间的场景转换;经历了对科技艺术的认知从观念习作的产出到挑战权威,最终走向肩负社会责任的蜕变。在这样的摸索与前行中,在与同伴的探讨与争辩中,在与观众的游戏与引导中,在与资本的妥协与博弈中,我与团队的工作方法逐渐在现实的锤炼中被塑造,并成为推动科技艺术发展的一股“莽撞”力量。这股力量正来自创作中从未止歇的思考与实验,以及纵使艺术内驱力式微,团队仍旧携带着的那抹无惧无畏的诗意底色。
In conceiving and creating the dynamic mechanical installation Number One, I worked as an artist, teacher, and team leader;the installation was not used in teaching alone, but an exhibit in an art museum, and then an artwork in public space;my understanding of scientific and technological art changed from traditional artwork creation to challenging authority, and finally to shouldering social responsibilities. In this process of exploration and advancements, in discussions and debates with my colleagues,in games with and guidance of the audience, and in compromises and games with capitalists, my team and I gradually developed a set of working methods, which has become a “reckless” power that promotes the development of scientific and technological art. This power comes from the never-stopping thinking and experimenting in creation, as well as the fearless poetic quality of my team even if the inner driver of art has declined.
