Liao Sancai is a low-temperature colored glazed ceramic product produced during the Liao Dynasty.Influenced by Tang Sancai,it is one of the best in Liao porcelain.Liao Sancai fired various animal shaped objects,such as birds and beasts,dragons and phoenixes,rabbits,fish,camels,etc.These animal images not only reflect the social life and ethnic customs of the Liao Dynasty,but also reflect the characteristics and style of the ceramic art of the Liao Dynasty,with distinct ethnic and historical characteristics.This article analyzes the types,decorations,colors,and shapes of the animal images of Liao Sancai,and explores the artistic characteristics and aesthetic connotations of Liao,as well as the similarities,differences,and influences with animal images of Tang Sancai.
