Gui Yuqiu is an outstanding expert on Huangmei Opera in Hubei Province.His outstanding research contributions include the discovery of'Huangmei Zhuzhici'by Bie Jilin and'Xiahe Diao(Huangmei Opera)'by He Yuanbing.Some scholars have preconceived and slandered Mr.Gui Yuqiu for falsifying these key historical materials,thus trying to overturn the academic public opinion of the origin of Huangmei Opera and its formation in Huangmei,Hubei.Based on the historical materials such as"Bie's genealogy""Tianmen Academy Miscellaneous Works""Hubei Poetry Collection""Hubei Arts and Literature Records"etc.,it can be seen that the creation time of Bie Jilin's"Huangmei Zhuzhi Ci"is not the 9th year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty judged by Gui Yuqiu,but the last year of Qianlong,which proves that Huangmei Opera was formed at the latest in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.The tea-picking tune of Huangmei,the Daoqing of Huangmei and the true story of Huangmei constitute the necessary historical conditions for the formation of Huangmei opera that other counties and cities do not have.
