With the intensification of global climate change and resource and environmental constraints,lowcarbon economy has become an inevitable choice for the development of countries.Low carbon development poses new requirements for the road transport economy.This article takes low-carbon economy as the background and the development of road transport industry as the starting point,analyzes the opportunities and challenges that the current road transport industry faces in low-carbon development,predicts the development trends of new energy vehicles,intelligent connected vehicles,green travel,and proposes suggestions for improving policies and regulations,strengthening supervision,and promoting industrial upgrading,aiming to promote the transformation of the automobile transportation industry towards green,intelligent,and efficient directions,and achieve low-carbon sustainable development.
