摘要
乔治·桑德斯在其短篇小说《骑士败北记》中建构了双重叙事进程。隐性叙事进程作为一条与情节发展并列前行的表意轨道,提供了“戏(生活)-戏中戏(工作)”以及包蕴其中的“假我—真我”二元对立框架,并通过第三维度拓展扩充了“假我”“真我”人格间的双向互动。隐性叙事进程中的二元对立框架不仅为情节发展提供了对比鲜明的参照系,其双向互动也从更深广的视域揭示了现代社会中人的普遍生存状态。
George Saunders constructs dual narrative progression in his short story My Chivalric Fiasco.The covert progression,as an ideological track parallel to the development of the plot,provides a dichotomous framework of“play(life)-play within a play(work)”and the embedded dichotomous framework of“false self-true self”,at the same time,the third dimension is expanded to complement the two-way interaction between the“false self”and the“true self”.The dichotomous framework in the covert progression provides a contrasting frame of reference for the development of the plot,and reveals the universal state of human existence in modern society from a broader perspective.
