Anxiety is common emotional problem faced by individuals.Researches have confirmed that music therapy can effectively relieve anxiety. This paper presents a first systematic review to explain the impact of music materials and types of music therapy on the therapeutic efficacy of anxiety intervention. Then, based on the influencing factors,a hypothe⁃sis is proposed from four aspects:physiological, neurological, cognitive and social communication, trying to reveal the mech⁃anism of music therapy in anxiety.Future researches should aim to further explore the specific therapeutic effects of diverse types of music therapy on different sub-types of anxiety disorders.Additionally, investigating the combination of music ther⁃apy with other treatment methods could prove beneficial.Furthermore,it is crucial to pay attention to the uniqueness of mu⁃sic therapy for adolescents with anxiety.
