Unbalanced voltage protection is the main protection of capacitor banks.This paper first outlines basic information of capacitor bank fault,and discusses common causes for unbalanced voltage protection action in capacitor banks.It then reports and analyzes two actual cases of trips after the closing switch of the capacitor bank,and determines the cause of the faults through inspection test and data analysis,which verifies the effectiveness of causal analysis.It also puts forward suggestions on relevant preventive and handling measures.
