Dunhuang caisson,as a treasure of ancient Chinese art,has its unique and rich color elements,which contains profound cultural connotation and artistic value.In recent years,with people's attention to and recognition of traditional culture and art,the application of Dunhuang caisson color elements in public space design has gradually increased,which not only adds a unique artistic charm to public space,but also provides a new way for the inheritance and development of traditional culture.This paper analyzes the characteristics of Dunhuang caisson color elements and their application principles and significance in the design of public space,and discusses the application of Dunhuang caisson in the design of public space,in order to inject new vitality and charm into the design of public space.
