革命老区是党和人民军队的根。老区精神是老区党政军民在创建根据地、抗击敌人、壮大力量进程中淬炼铸就的伟大精神。“老区精神”的提出、凝练与确立,经历了一个不断探讨、明晰、完善的演进过程。老区精神的基本内涵,主要包括“爱党信党、坚定不移的理想信念”“舍生忘死、无私奉献的博大胸怀”“不屈不挠、敢于胜利的英雄气概”“自强不息、艰苦奋斗的顽强斗志”“求真务实、开拓创新的科学态度”“鱼水情深、生死相依的光荣传统”等六个方面。在新时代,我们必须与时俱进地发扬光大老区精神,做承传、研究、弘扬与践行老区精神的忠实传人,在中国式现代化建设中为老区全面振兴和高质量发展赋能助力。

Revolutionary base areas are the roots of the Party and the people's army.The spirit of the revolu-tionary base areas is a great spirit forged by the Party,government,military and civilians in the process of es-tablishing bases,strengthening their forces and fighting against the enemies.The advance,optimization and es-tablishment of the spirit have undergone a process of exploration,clarification and improvement.The basic con-notations of the spirit mainly include such aspects as"unwavering ideal and belief in the Party","broad mindedness of selfless dedication even at the cost of one's life","indomitable spirit and courage to win","per-severance and tenacious fighting spirit in the face of difficulties","pragmatism,innovation and scientific atti-tude",and"deep affection and mutual dependence in life and death".In the New Era,we must carry forward the spirit of the revolutionary base areas in accordance with the times,be faithful successors in inheriting,stud-ying,promoting and practicing the spirit,and empower the comprehensive revitalization and high-quality devel-opment of the revolutionary base areas in the process of China's way to modernization.
