The incense utensils in the collection of the Quanzhou Maritime Museum are mainly burners,and there are also incense plugs and holders.The texture is mostly porcelain,but copper and tin metal wares are also found.Through the analysis of these incense utensils,the development of incense culture in Quanzhou is reproduced in the light of the historical background,such as diversified religious beliefs,mature porcelain technology,and prosperous overseas trade.From The supported incense burners and objects with incense burner motifs in the collection,we can get a glimpse of the importance of incense culture in Quanzhou in religious beliefs and the lives of literati.
