明清福建商人捐资修谱研究

A Study of Fujian Merchants'Contribution for Genealogy Compilation

明清时期,福建商人捐资修谱行为大量出现,并呈现递增的态势。在这一过程中,宗族于族规、谱例卷中制定出一套依照捐资多寡决定商贾是否可以入谱立传的新标准,商人传记也从无足轻重变成了宗族修谱的重点,谱传中的商贾形象大为改观。这些变动都有益于福建商人营商自信心的增强、贸易网络的扩大及社会地位的提升,成为推动明清福建商人发展壮大的积极因素。

During the Ming and Qing periods,Fujian merchants became significantly interested in contributing funds for the compilation of genealogies.In this circumstance,more merchant stories were incorporated into the genealogies based upon their donations.Accordingly,merchant biographies,once regarded as inconsequential,became critical in the compilation of clan records.The depiction of merchants in genealogies also experienced a substantial makeover.These changes increased the self-confidence and social status of the Fujian merchants.
