Over the years,China has introduced a series of policies to promote the deep integration of industry and education, achieving certain results. However, the separation between the supply side of talent cultivation and the demand side of the industry still exists. With vocational education gradually shifting towards a more diversified development model, trade associations,as the pivotal link between industry and education, are gaining increasing recognition for their important role in the development of vocational education.Hosted by trade associations, vocational education has become a new path for the integrated development of vocational education, which is necessary for high-quality co-vibration between industry and education. However,in reality, obstacles such as imperfect policies and regulations, unsound organizational structures, and insufficient school-running functions still exist, which directly affect the role of trade associations in hosting vocational education. Therefore, the government and trade associations should work together to ensure the right to host schools by improving policies and regulations;improve the governance system to stimulate the vitality of trade associations in school running;innovate in the form of hosting schools;and establish a multilateral decision-making mechanism.By doing so,trade associations can become a powerful force in the diversified development of vocational education.
