The key to exploring the innovative model of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times is to take problem orientation as the source of synthetic innovation,then to regard Marxism as a historical collection of problem domains.As a theoretical and practical tradition,Marxism has historically emerged and developed around the problem of“how to sublate capitalist modernity and achieve human freedom and liberation”.The Marxism is adapted to the Chinese context and the needs of the times,based on its specific historical situation,and puts forward the historic problem of how to transcend the capitalist modernity,opens up the road of Chinese path to modernization,and achieves human freedom and liberation.In short,it puts forward Chinese Path to Modernization as a new problem domain.Based on this view,the combination of Marxism and China’s specific reality means to expand and deepen continuously new problem areas based on specific historical situations.The combination of Marxism and China’s excellent traditional culture means to grasp and solve continuously these problems of modernization by taking root in our excellent national culture.
