二语词汇及语言技能损耗研究

A Study on L2 Vocabulary and Language Skills Attrition

本研究探讨中国非英语专业大学生二语词汇及语言技能损耗的表现特征与影响因素,发现如下:(1)研究支持二语词汇损耗中存在“起始平台”的观点,且时间的节点大概为外语减少或停止使用的6到12个月。(2)语言技能判定方法下被试对其损耗程度过度认知,且在产出性技能方面尤为明显,词汇判断的结果更加接近于被试的真实损耗状态。(3)影响词汇和语言技能保持因素中学习者动机最为显著,二语使用次之,二语接触对其影响较弱。

This study explores the characteristics and influencing factors of skills attrition in L2 among Chinese non-English major college students.The findings are as follows:1)Regarding attrition characteristics,the study supports the concept of an"initial plateau",with a critical period around 6 to 12 months after the reduction or cessation of foreign language use.2)The participants'perception of their language attrition degree deviates from the actual situation,especially in their understanding of productive skill attrition,whereas their perception of vocabulary attrition is close to the reality.3)As for the influencing factors of L2 vocabulary and skill attrition,learner's motivation has the most significant impact,followed by L2 use and contact.
