This paper discusses the application of the UAV technology in geological hazard monitoring in detail through introduction of the definition,system composition and working principle of the technology,including its advantages as high efficiency,good flexibility,extensive data acquisition ability,high precision,real-time data processing and analysis capacity.An example has been used to analyze the application of the UAV tilt photogrammetry technology in geological hazard monitoring,including the development trend and prospect of the UAV applications.
