With the changes in the international situation,national security has become the focus of attention of governments and the society.National defense education in colleges and universities should also keep up with the pace of the development of The Times and integrate the education of overall national security concept into the teaching content.This paper first expounds the relevant knowledge of the overall national security concept,analyzes its importance and practical significance in the national defense education curriculum of colleges and universities,and then puts forward the development exploration,including improving the scientific and practical setting of educational content,exploring effective educational methods,strengthening the participation and training of students and other suggestions.in order to promote the continuous development and progress of national defense education in universities.
