摘要
《英美国家概况》课程是英语专业方向选修课,目的是提高英语专业学生了解不同国家文化的多样性,培养全球意识和跨文化交际能力,然而传统的以教师为主体的教学模式效果不理想。本文在翻转课堂(flipped classroom)的背景下,根据建构主义理论,探讨翻转课堂在英美国家概况教学中的实践策略,从而激发学生的学习热情、动力及参与度,提高课堂的质量和效果,以期为其他高校英语专业《英美国家概况》课程的教学提供有价值的参考和借鉴。
An Outline Introduction to Britain and America is an optional course for English majors,aiming at improving English majors'understanding of the diversity of different countries cultures,cultivating global awareness and cross-cultural communication skills.However,the traditional teaching model of teacher-centered classroom has not been effective.In the context of flipped classroom,this article explores the practical strategies of flipped classroom in the teaching of An Outline Introduction to Britain and America based on constructivist theory,in order to stimulate students'enthusiasm for learning,motivation,and learning participation,improve the quality and effectiveness of the classroom,and provide valuable reference and guidance for the teaching of English majors in other universities.
