In the process of translating the Chinese literary classic Confucian Scholars,the strategies and methods of translating cultureloaded words in this work have their unique features.The diff erences in the treatment of culture-loaded words in diff erent translations refl ect the diffi culties in the translation process,including how to accurately convey the historical background,cultural connotation,and emotional color of culture-loaded words,which are indispensable and important links in translation work.In order to convey the essence of the original culture in a more comprehensive way,corresponding translation strategies and methods can be adopted,including literal translation,free translation,transliteration,etc.These concrete translation practices can provide reference for the translation of similar classics.
