《河边的错误》是余华最具代表性的四部中篇小说之一。在这部小说中,作者运用非线性叙事手法,为读者打造了一个令人着迷的悬疑故事。非线性叙事,作为后现代小说中主要的叙事手法之一,在处理和呈现时空顺序时,通过非等时和点射的叙事技巧,展现了其在文学创作中的独特价值;复调式的叙述结构强调了多元独立的思想意识之间的平等交流与对话,体现了多元性的后现代主义特征;而开放式结尾的模糊性和不确定性,则将故事的发展留给读者去想象和解读。通过深入分析这部小说的非线性叙事,我们可以更好地理解后现代美学的风格。
As one of the four most typical novelettes by Yu Hua,Only the River Flows,is presented before the readership as a fascinating suspense story via non-linear narrative,one of the main narrative techniques of post-modern novels,where an anisochronous depiction is employed,with its time flow diffusing on a given point of time to various points in dealing with and displaying temporal-spatial sequences.In this sense,non-linear narrative is of unique value in literary creation.A polyphonically structured narrative,which is characterized with pluralistic post-modernism,underscores equal exchanges and dialogue among pluralistic independent ideologies.Vagueness and uncertainty from this story’s open ending invite the readership to visualize and interpret its development.An in-depth analysis of this novelette’s non-linear narrative facilitates our better understanding of the style of post-modernist aestheticism.
