The Environmental History Connotation and Historical Material Value of the Dianhai Yuheng Chronicles

《滇海虞衡志》对云南的主要自然环境要素概况、民众的经济活动与生态思想等环境史内涵有所记载,是研究云南自然环境中生命系统与非生命系统交往变迁、历史民族地方性知识的重要史料,为中国环境史史料研究提供个案分析。虽然把方志用于环境史研究十分重要,但在具体研究的工作中仍需突破传统、扩大视野、综合分析多种史料,促进环境史发展更加长远。

The Dianhai Yuheng Chronicles records the overview of the main natural environmental ele⁃ments,economic activities and ecological thoughts of the people in Yunnan,and other environmental history connotations.It is an important historical material for studying the interaction and changes be⁃tween living and nonliving systems in Yunnan’s natural environment,as well as local knowledge of his⁃torical ethnic groups.It provides case analysis for the study of historical materials of Chinese environ⁃mental history.Although it is important to use local chronicles for environmental history research,it is still necessary to break through tradition,broaden horizons,and comprehensively analyze various histor⁃ical materials in specific research work,so as to promote the long-term development of environmental history.
