On the philosophical basis of Three Representations

'三个代表'的重要思想,渊源于马克思主义哲学历史唯物史观.始终代表先进生产力的发展要求,是生产力决定生产关系从而推动社会向前发展的基本体现;始终代表先进文化的发展方向,是上层建筑反映并服务和反作用于经济基础,确保社会发展方向的必然要求;始终代表最广大人民的根本利益是一切为了群众,一切依靠群众,从群众中来,到群众中去的群众路线和群众观点的根本反映.

The important thoughts of the Three Representations originate from the historical materialism of Maxism Philosophy. The first Represent,i.e.,represents the demand for development of advanced production forces all along,is the basic expression of the rule that the production forces determines the production relations and then propels the society forward.The second Represent, i.e., represents the development orientation of advanced culture, is the inevitable demand for the rule that superstructure reflects, serves and acts on the economic base and then ensures the development orientation of the society.The third Represent,i.e., represents the fundamental interests of the vast majority of the people, is the essential expression of the masses line and masses view which is in detail that all for the masses all on the masses, from the masses and to the masses.
