中国文化“走出去”之翻译思考——以蔡廷干《唐诗英韵》的译介与接受为例

Translation Thoughts on Chinese Culture's "Going Global"—A Case Study of the Translation and Reception of Cai Tinggan's Chinese Poems in English Rhyme

在中国文化“走出去”的时代背景下,中国古典诗歌的英译显得尤为重要。这些诗歌不仅是中华文学的瑰宝,更是中国历史文化的浓缩,具有丰富的艺术表现力和深刻的思想内涵。该文以蔡廷干的《唐诗英韵》为研究对象,旨在探讨其古诗翻译策略及其对当代中国文化外译的启示。通过深入剖析《唐诗英韵》的翻译方法、语言特点及其在海外的影响与接受情况,发现:其成功的翻译实践不仅有效传递了诗歌的韵律美与意境,也为中国文化“走出去”提供了宝贵经验。研究结果显示,培养读者意识、注重翻译选材、增强译者素养、加强中西译者合作、打开海外市场等策略,对于推动中国文化外译具有重要意义。

In the context of Chinese culture"going global",the English translation of Chinese classical poetry is particularly important.These poems are not only the treasures of Chinese literature,but also the essence of Chinese history and culture,with rich artistic expression and profound ideological connotation.This paper takes Cai Tinggan's Chinese Poems in English Rhyme as the research object,aiming to explore its translation strategy of ancient poetry and its enlightenment to contemporary Chinese culture translation.Through an in-depth analysis of the translation methods,language characteristics and its overseas influence and reception of Chinese Poems in English Rhyme,this paper finds that its successful translation practice not only effectively conveys the beauty of rhythm and depth of artistic conception of the poem,but also provides valuable experience for Chinese culture"going global".The research conclusion holds that cultivating reader awareness,paying attention to translation selection,enhancing translator's quality,strengthening the cooperation between Chinese and Western translators,and opening up overseas markets are of great significance for promoting the translation of Chinese culture.
