案例研究方法在图书情报领域的应用与反思

Application and Reflection of Case Study Method in the Field of Library and Information Science

[目的/意义]案例研究方法是社会科学领域方法论体系中的重要组成部分,对于探索和解释现象、检验已有理论、构建新理论,均有重要作用。[方法/过程]为探究当下国内外图书情报领域中案例研究方法的应用现状,研究采用描述性统计分析方法、主题词聚类、文本分析法,对2018年以来国内外图书情报领域中使用案例研究方法的299篇中英文文献进行梳理,对其现状与问题进行分析。[结果/结论]研究总结分析图书情报领域案例研究文献的分布情况、主题和应用规范性,发现国内外在“模型/算法+举例验证”行文结构方面的差异,归纳出现有研究在方法论阐述、案例选择、数据收集、信效度检验方面的特点与不足;以3篇文献举例展示案例研究法的具体应用,为今后研究提供参考;此外,还将图书情报领域的案例研究方法与工商管理、公共管理领域比较,实现对案例研究方法应用的延伸。

[Purpose/Significance]The case study is an important method of the methodology system in social sciences,which plays an important role in exploring and explaining phenomena,constructing new theories,and testing existing theories.[Method/Process]In order to explore the application of case study in the field of library and information science at home and abroad,the study used descriptive statistical analysis methods,keyword clustering,and text analysis,sorted out 299 Chinese and English articals using case study methods since 2018,and analyzed their current situation and problems.[Result/Conclusion]The research summarizes and analyzes the distribution,subject,and application standardization of case studies in the field of library and information science.It discovers the differences in the writing structure of“models/algorithms+example verification”both domestically and internationally,and summarizes the characteristics and shortcomings of the research in methodology elaboration,case selection,data collection,and reliability and validity testing.It takes three literatures as examples to demonstrate its specific application to provide reference for future research.In addition,it compares the case study method in library and information science with that in business management and public administration to extend its application.
