摘要
英雄史诗《玛纳斯》是柯尔克孜民族的百科全书,蕴含大量地方性知识。本文从知识翻译学的视角出发,尤其按照“以真求知”的价值尺度,以史诗中三类地方性知识,即“动物崇拜”“神话传说”以及“民俗文化”的翻译为例,探讨《玛纳斯》地方性知识向世界性知识转化中出现的问题,并提出可能的翻译策略,认为民族典籍的翻译应尽可能保留地方性知识的地域性特征,译者需灵活运用多种翻译策略以传递地方性知识之“真”。
As the encyclopedia of the Kirghiz culture,the epic Manas is full of Kirghiz knowledge.This paper makes an analysis of cross-cultural translation of local knowledge embodied in animal worship,myths and folk culture,and proposes flexible translation strategies to transmit the knowledge by preserving their locality so as to enrich the treasure of the world culture.
