摘要
王阳明的人生自觉是从体认天下第一等事开始的。他曾经历深沉的精神危机,也在彷徨与迷惘中苦苦挣扎与探寻。王阳明归仁之路的关隘,既有面对朱子学格物说时的障蔽与沟壑,也有深入佛老之学时出现的光景与沉溺。他最终通过洞察儒佛关于“人性”的分歧与归趣,确定了自己的仁者之路。“仁者,人也。”仁学就是人学。儒佛之别,归根到底就在“做人”还是“做佛”这个选择上。王阳明选择了继续做人,这也成为他弃佛归儒的枢机。
Wang Yangming’s life self-awareness journey commenced with his understanding of the paramount thing in the world.He underwent a profound spiritual crisis,struggling and exploring in confusion and bewilderment.The crux of his return to benevolence was navigating the challenges and conceptual gaps he encountered while engaging with Zhu Xi’s doctrine of the“investigation of things,”as well as the hope and subsequent indulgence he found in Buddhist and Taoist studies.Ultimately,he decided his path as a benevolent person through his insight into the differences and similarities of“human nature”between Confucianism and Buddhism.“To be benevolent is to be human.”The pursuit of benevolence is the study of humanity itself.The fundamental divergence between Confucianism and Buddhism,he believed,hinged on the existential choice between“being human”and“becoming a Buddha.”Wang opted to affirm his humanity,a decision that catalyzed his transition from Buddhism to Confucianism.
