清末民国浙江文人费有容生平事迹补考

A Supplementary Study on Zhejiang Scholar Fei Yourong’s Personal Life in the Late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China

费有容为浙江籍文人,清末因科举受挫投身杭州报界。民国后寓居上海,先在仓圣明智大学任教,后成为职业撰稿人。发表报刊文章近七百篇,撰著、评注、编写专书十余部。他的生平事迹在《“乌程蛰园”生平考》一文中已有所考述,本文全面考察他的报刊文章并辅以档案文献做出补充。费有容相关文献为研究清末民初文人心态以及近代以来文化家族变革、杭州社会历史变迁、江南地域文化转型提供了诸多具象材料。他本人虽未有突出的学问建树,但个人经历及著述却具有相当的文化认识价值。

Fei Yourong,a scholar native to Zhejiang,joined the press in Hangzhou after the failure in the imperial examination in the late Qing Dynasty.After the Republic of China was founded,he lived in Shanghai and taught at Cangsheng Mingzhi University and became a professional writer later.He has published nearly 700 newspaper articles and more than ten books.His life experience has been recounted in article“Textual Research on Wucheng Zheyuan Garden”.This paper makes a comprehensive study on his newspaper articles supplemented by archival documents.At the same time,Fei Yourong’s relevant literature has provided many concrete materials for studying the mentality of literati in the late Qing Dynasty.It also contributes to the study of cultural family changes,social and historical changes in Hangzhou,and cultural transformation in Jiangnan region since modern times.Although he did not have outstanding academic achievements,his personal experience and writings have considerable value of cultural awareness.
