In the new era,higher education should not only focus on imparting subject specific knowledge,but also pay attention to increasing students' ideological and political consciousness,so that they can grow into socialist builders and successors with comprehensive development in morality,intelligence,physical fitness,aesthetics,and labor.The teaching of instrumental music courses in universities not only carries the mission of integrating the inheritance of traditional music culture with the development of the times,but also meets the needs of society for the comprehensive development of college graduates.For this purpose,music teachers can integrate ideological and political education with instrumental curriculum teaching,while imparting instrumental knowledge to students,guiding them to form correct professional views and values,and comprehensively improving the comprehensive literacy.
