高等学校地理学双语教学特征与建议

摘要 地理学作为交叉学科在应对人与自然发展问题中发挥着重要作用。基于地理学学科视角,从课前筹备、授课教学、课后考核与反馈3个方面探讨了我国高校地理学双语教学体系现状,并结合中山大学地理信息科学本科专业英语和双语教学经验,为高校地理学双语课程教学提供相关建议。研究发现,双语课程的教师队伍建设和规范教材选择是亟待解决的首要问题;在授课教学中,可利用多样化课堂增强师生互动,并通过增设助教、小组讨论等提升学生体验;在课后考核与反馈上,则可通过督导、谈话等方式完善课程评价,优化课程质量。研究结果可为完善高校双语教学体系、增强国际化教育水平提供参考。 Geography plays an important role in addressing human and natural system issues.From the perspective of geography discipline,we evaluated the current situation of bilingual teaching in Chinese universities in terms of pre-class preparation,in-class teaching and post-class assessment and feedback,and then provided suggestions for bilingual teaching by integrating the experience of undergraduate professional English and bilingual teaching in geographical information science at Sun Yat-sen University.It is found that the construction of faculty members in bilingual teaching and standardized teaching materials are the primary issues to be solved.During in-class teaching,the use of diverse approaches to enhance student-teacher interaction and to improve the learning experience for students through teaching assistants and group discussions.In post-class assessment and feedback,course evaluation can be completed through supervision of and conversation with senior teachers to improve the course quality.The results provide references for developing bilingual teaching system in Chinese universities and enhancing international education.
