A Study on the Newly Discovered Su Xianbiao Genglubu

更路簿,是海南渔民在南海诸岛及相关海域的航行指南,是海南渔民在南海生产、航海实践的经验记录,是研究中国人民开发经营、和平利用南海的珍贵文献。《苏显标更路簿》由苏显标于2022年从家中旧物储藏室翻出,是新发现的一本更路簿,它的发现丰富了苏姓更路簿版本研究的实证序列。该本更路簿主要包括环海南岛更路、从海南岛去往西沙群岛更路、西沙群岛各岛屿之间往来更路等,没有南沙群岛的更路内容,存在传统更路形式向现代更路形式转变、誊抄与自我实践的创新结合、目的性与针对性强、蕴含丰富的渔业文化特征等特点,是航海时代发展的缩影,见证着更路簿的航线记录从传统计量单位(更数、针位)向现代计量单位(里数、度数)转变。

Genglubu was a navigation guide used by Hainan fishermen sailing to and from the South China Sea islands and related areas.The manual is a record of Hainan fishermen’s experience in production and navigation in the South China Sea.It is a valuable historical literature for the research on how the Chinese people peacefully explored,developed,and utilized the South China Sea.Su Xianbiao genglubu was discovered by Su Xianbiao from his old belongings storage room in 2022.It is a newly discovered Genglubu,which enriches the empirical sequence of research on the Su surname Genglubu version.This Genglubu mainly includes routes around Hainan Island,routes from Hainan Island to the Xisha Islands,routes between the the Xisha Islands,etc,without any information on the Nansha Islands routes.It has characteristics such as the transformation from traditional form to modern form,the innovative combination of copying and self-practice,strong purpose and pertinence,and rich fishery cultural characteristics.It is a microcosm of the development of the maritime era,witnessing the transformation of route records from traditional measurement units(number of shifts and number of pins)to modern measurement units(number of miles and number of degrees).
