摘要 本文从物质生态批评视角出发,以物质动能为线索,从正反两方面探讨理查德·鲍尔斯作品《盈利》中物质能动性、主体性、创造性在与人类社会关联互动时所产生的影响,揭示物质与意义之间不可分离的现实关联。衰败水体与人类病体两处物质文本展现出脱离人类控制的化学动能体对于生态系统与人类本身的反噬,再次印证了人类社会与自然环境你中有我、我中有你的紧密关系。小说的物质叙事建构出一种新型的非二元论、去人类中心化、万物相连的后人文思维范式。 From the lens of material ecocriticism,this article centers on material agency to explore both the positive and negative impacts of matter's agency,subjectivity,and creativity as it interacts with human society in Richard Powers's Gain.The essay demonstrates the inseparable interplay between matter and meaning.The two material texts in the novel,the degradation of aquatic ecosystems and human malady,reveal the repercussions stemming from the uncontrolled agency of chemical agents on both the ecological system and human individuals.These revelations underscore the intimate rapport between human society and the natural environment,thus accentuating the pressing need to establish a novel cognitive paradigm.This post-humanistic paradigm emphasizes a departure from binary thinking,a decentering of anthropocentrism,and the recognition of interconnectedness.
