话语标记“从某种程度上说”的模糊限制功能

The Pragmatic Functions of the Hedge Discourse Marker“Cong Mouzhong Chengdu Shang Shuo”

目前,“从某种程度上说”等话语标记尚有研究空间,本文认为这类话语标记主要表达模糊功能,起到缓和、礼貌、交互主观性等语用功能。“P,从某种程度上说,Q”是其典型语境,言者的交际意图是通过信息P来向听/读者表明立场Q。这类标记的典型功能就是模糊地限制Q,Q多是断言性和模糊性的陈述小句。话语标记“从某种程度上说”的模糊限制功能深受其构件“某、种、程度、说”的不定性影响。与“按说”类、“更准确地说”等推进式言说标记相比,表达模糊限制的话语标记具有自身特点;它们符合传信语的判断标准,属于传信语的一类。

At present,hedge discourse markers(HDM),such as“cong mouzhong chengdu shang shuo”,have not recieved their due scholarly attention.We argue that the pragmatic functions of such discourse markers are mainly hedge restriction and mitigation.“P,HDM,Q”is a typical context of hedge discourse markers.The communicative intention of the speaker is to indicate an assertive proposition made to the listener/reader through the information P.The typical function of hedge discourse markers is hedge restriction Q,and Q is an assertive and vague propositional sentence.The hedge restriction function of“cong mouzhong chengdu shang shuo”is deeply affected by the uncertainty of its component“mou”,“zhong”,and“chengdu”.Compared with the“speaking”type and“more accurately”advancing discourse markers,hedge discourse marks have their own characteristics.Hedge discourse markers meet the criteria for evidentiality category,and belong to a class of members in evidentiality.
