Colorectal cancer is a tumor disease characterized by high morbidity and mortality. Its occurrence and development are determined by many factors, such as gene, environment, lifestyle and so on.During the development of colorectal cancer, abnormal changes in energy metabolism of tumor cells lead to increased glucose uptake of cancer cells, and glucose energy supply has become the main energy source of tumor cells.Ketogenic diet is a low-carbohydrate diet pattern,in which ketogenic body becomes the main energy source of body cells, and the energy source of tumor cells is inhibited,so ketogenic diet is considered to have potential auxiliary anti-tumor effects. In this paper, the mechanism of ketogenic diet in the treatment of colorectal cancer has been reviewed and analyzed, and the main problems in the application of ketogenic diet in the treatment of colorectal cancer were discussed.
