In order to study the influence of deep mining under the mega-thick sand mudstone on the security of the highway of the oblique-parallel working surfaces,Hongqinghe Coal Mine in Ordos was taken as an example, the continuation time, horizontal deformation, inclined deformation, curvature change, and highway settlement during the mining process of the overlying highway affected by surface subsidence after coal seam mining in the working face were analyzed. The results show that when the highway is parallel to the edge of the goaf, the highway is less affected by surface subsidence, the horizontal deformation is mainly tensile deformation, the lateral inclination deformation value doesnot change much, and the curvature of the sinking curve is mainly depressed;when the highway crosses obliquity above the goaf, the highway is more affected by surface subsidence, the longitudinal horizontal deformation is mainly compression deformation, the lateral horizontal deformation is mainly tensile deformation. The longitudinal inclined deformation first decreases along the direction of working surface advancement, and then gradually increases along the opposite direction, the highway sinking curve located directly above the goaf is mainly concave, while the road sinking curve outside the edge of the goaf is mainly convex.
