This paper analyzes the articles from seven core journals in the field of urban planning in China,and explores the development trends,research hotspots,and changes in trends in the past ten years.It is found that academic research in the field of urban planning in China exhibits characteristics,such as a wide range of research topics,interdisciplinary intersections,policy orientation,and technological orientation.Key research topics include urbanization,urban design,and territorial spatial planning,and research trends include digital economy,carbon neutrality,urban governance,and so on.Future research in the field of urban planning can actively explore emerging research directions such as digitalization,lowcarbon,and marine issues,strengthen interdisciplinary research and theoretical deepening,and pay more attention to the impact of new technologies on cities and urban studies.
