Driven by the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation,economic data has shown explosive growth.The future of economic research is entering the era of data science,which urgently requires innovation in the teaching content and methods of econometrics course.This paper deeply explores the problems and challenges in the current teaching process of econometrics courses,and proposes reform measures to adapt to the era of data science from the aspects of enriching teaching content,making full use of online teaching resources,increasing practical operations,strengthening case teaching,and optimizing assessment forms.In the era of data science,the teaching of graduate courses in economics and management,represented by econometrics,needs to actively integrate resources and technologies from all sectors of society,and effectively support the country's innovation and development needs through continuous innovation and pursuit of excellence.
